Letter from Amrit to Toronto--St.Paul's
Dear Neighbours,
It's no secret that many in our community are struggling. While Liberals and Conservatives call each other names and play politics with your tax dollars, the cost of housing and groceries has skyrocketed. We don't have to choose between bad and worse in this by-election.
Through the non-profit I've helped run, I've seen firsthand the power of collective action to enact real change when we focus on people instead of politics.
We've seen it work in Parliament when Jagmeet Singh and the NDP moved beyond partisan bickering and negotiated Canada's first national dental and pharmacare programs, extending healthcare coverage to millions of Canadians.
That's what this by-election is about – electing a representative who is committed to standing up for you in Ottawa. Someone who is dedicated to making housing affordable, lowering grocery bills, and improving our healthcare.
Everyone's voice should be heard, and as your MP, I am ready to bring your concerns to the forefront.
Sincerely,
Amrit Parhar
